Hello from Crewe Massed Schools' Choir

Step Up is over for 2005

We can't wait until next year's festival 1-9 July 2006

My how we've grown!

Step Up 05 was a 10-day festival crammed full of performing, visual and media arts by the Specialist Arts Colleges and Artsmark schools of the north west.

Top arts organisations and educators came together - along with over 100 schools from the north west.

More than 70 events, including stage performances by young artists, workshops for all ages and training for teachers, were scheduled over the first 10 days in July – in what is believed to be the longest arts festival for schools in the world.

And to coincide with the 'record breaking festival' organisers tried to break 10 World Records during the 10 days of the festival.

The festival ended on Sunday 10 July, with a traditional mandala dance being performed through a giant sand painting.

Step Up returns 1-9 July 2006. Please email us to be kept up to date.
